Short-Term Geomagnetic Forecast and Review

Product Description:

Provides geomagnetic forecast up to 2 days and review up to past 24 hours for Canada's polar cap, auroral, and subauroral zones. Magnetic storm watches are superimposed automatically on pre-existing forecasts should conditions warrant them.

Target Users:

Electric power utilities, pipeline operators, directional drilling operators, aeromagnetic surveyors, geophysical prospectors, amateur-radio operators, GPS users, airlines, Canadian government agencies.

Cadence: 15 minutes

Data Source: Canadian ground geomagnetic measurements, solar and solar wind data.

Long-Term Geomagnetic Forecast and Review

Product Description:

Provides geomagnetic forecast up to 27 days for Canada's polar cap, auroral, and subauroral zone, as well as review for the past 30 days.

Target Users:

Aeromagnetic and geophysical surveyors

Cadence:

• 3 weeks (forecast)
• Daily (review)
